Our Vision
Player Development
We are confident that our player-centered philosophy at DVA will be a proven winner. At DVA we understand that volleyball is a very important to your daughter’s life so our experienced staff of coaches will be committed to providing every player with a technically comprehensive yet fun learning environment. Your daughter’s development will be our number one priority.
Player Excellence DVA will instill the value of excellence in all of our players. The success of our program will not just be measured by wins and loses in tournaments. Although we understand winning is important, the many successes by our athletes will also be measured by their overall development as volleyball players and leaders on and off the court. Our athletes will learn to strive for excellence in everything they do.
Personal Development
Because we understand that competitive volleyball is a huge time commitment, DVA is committed to provide every player with a clear path to the future. We will offer and encourage all players to participate in our “Discover your Greatness” program. Personal Power, Goal Setting, Time Management and Communication Skills will be offered to all players to help them balance volleyball, school and life outside of sports.
College-Seeking Players DVA has developed a comprehensive program to facilitate the placement of graduating seniors in college volleyball programs. DVA will provide players and parents recruiting assistance in the form of college contacts via phone, email or written letters, communication skills, videotaping and development of a personalized recruiting timeline starting with a player's freshman club season.
Communication
DVA understands that communication is the key to success. Our state of the art website is being designed to make your club experience smooth and enjoyable. You can always count on clear concise and up to date information.
Commitment to Parents DVA considers the parents of our players’ one of our greatest strengths. DVA parents will assist their individual teams and the organization in many ways by sharing their thoughts and ideas on fund-raising, sponsorship, equipment and other areas of interest. Each team will also elect one parent to participate on the parent council. This group is an important link for the parents to provide valuable feedback on the program to the Board of Directors.
